In 2015, Colorado Mountain College will launch an innovative Career Academy for students to receive a college certificate while in HS. In rural Western CO, providing alternative education options is essential for youth and the economy. This pilot is scalable to the College’s 11 campuses and beyond.
The idea tackles access to post-secondary education, with a focus on facilitating employment. A student lending facility executed in conjunction with a vocational and technical education provider would enhance marketable skills for Arab youth. Positive externalities extend well beyond economic gain and into the realm of social progress.
