AMAL seeks to help young Muslims become more involved in the political and civic processes of the United States by highlighting leadership examples in the community, raising awareness about resources, establishing a mentorship program, organizing a leadership conference, and establishing a mini-grant project fund for the implementation of civically and/or politically oriented projects.
CityPathways (cPaths) coaches under-resourced youth to “see paths” toward possible futures, igniting learning beyond school. Immersive hands-on experiences in community organizations and cultural institutions synthesize their growing competencies, using micro-credentials to validate progress.
WeWho is a peer-to-peer mobile video chat platform designed to foster productive and purposeful discourse on topics of mutual passion. By engaging real people face-to-face, WeWho quashes internet incivility in favor of meaningful dialogue, guiding users to greater awareness and promoting tolerance.
POLLitics is a polling application that reengages the public in American politics. Connecting users to representatives via polls and data figures, POLLitics gives voice to the public, and data to all. It is about furthering the democratic process locally and nationally, giving insight into public opinion and political action that ultimately help both parties make informed decisions.
A media-rich, interactive, online curriculum focused on interfaith understanding, which will prepare people to participate in much-needed, courageous conversations about cultural and interfaith diversity by enabling them to learn about people from various worship communities around the world.
Online bullying, gang and terrorist recruitment are at all time highs. The Youth Peace Action Lab empowers 15-26 year olds to implement their own solutions to oppose this intolerance. In partnership with leading Boston-based universities, we will prove youth-launched projects can change the way the world counters online extremism.
My idea is to create an easily accessible web-site that would be a place of contact for environmental project suggestions that arise all over the world. With the easily accessible web-site we would make the problems meet the global brain power resources. The web-page would also act as runway for talented students everywhere that do not necessarily have the required resources or contacts.
